Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia | Two-Day Itinerary

Selamat Datang!
This pic was taken while riding on the second level of the Hop-on Hop-off bus.
This two-day itinerary is a compressed version of my two trips to Kuala Lumpur. If you only have one day to spend in the Garden City of Lights, I would recommend following the first day schedule since the second day is dedicated to shopping only. Of course if you still have time and energy to shop after your first day tour, you can drop by at the famous shopping centers listed here. After all there should always be time for shopping, right girls?

Merdeka Square and Kuala Lumpur Bird Park were originally a part of my itinerary, however for some reasons I wasn’t able to go. No regrets though, I am satisfied with how my vacations turned out.

Day 1
Batu Caves- Visit the huge statue of the Hindu God and climb the 272-step stairway leading to the cave.
Genting Highlands- Feel the breeze and ride the longest cable car in Southeast Asia!

Central Market-  Built in 1888 and a former wet market, Central Market is a major attraction in Kuala Lumpur known for its traditional and modern Malay clothes and Malaysia souvenirs. To get there, board the train following the Kelana Jaya line and alight at Pasar Seni station.

Petronas Twin Towers- Have a photo op in front of the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, the tallest twin towers in the world. You can also go inside the Suria KLCC Mall, home to expensive, premium brands located at the base of the twin towers. To get there, board the train following the Kelana Jaya line and alight at KLCC station.

Day 2
Berjaya Times Square- A hotel, indoor amusement park and shopping haven all located in one building, Berjaya Times Square is one of the most famous entertainment centers in Kuala Lumpur. If you are a bargain hunter like me, you will enjoy shopping for casual and corporate attires here. To reach Berjaya Time Square, ride the train following the KL Monorail Line and alight at Imbi station.

Bintang Walk- You will find a lot of tourists and locals strolling around Bintang Walk. From prestigious brands, cheap finds, delicious restaurants, shopping malls and hotels, you will never run out of things to do here. To reach Bintang Walk, ride the train following the KL Monorail Line and alight at Bukit Bintang station.

By the way, I have downloaded the train map guide we used in this link. This made commuting a lot easier.

Nikmati Malaysia!
