Where I Stayed in Siem Reap | Steung Siem Reap Hotel

Of all the hotels I have stayed during my trips to Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, Steung Siem Reap Hotel in Cambodia tops my list of the most budget-friendly accommodations offering 5-star hotel service.

Let me share you the reasons why I was impressed by it.

üBig Room
I and my friend/travel buddy, Vanessa booked a Superior Room for 3 nights. It only cost us a total of Php5,168.48* for the whole duration of our stay including buffet breakfast. Great deal right? Coming from Bangkok where we did a lot of shopping, it was a plus that the room was spacious enough for our luggage. It wasn't just the room that was big, but the beds as well since it could fit 2 persons. The beds were really comfortable topped with clean sheets, blankets and pillow.

üClean Comfort Room
The comfort room has bath tub, hot and cold shower and complete daily supply of toiletries.
üBuffet Breakfast
Who doesn't like to start their day with a happy tummy? Steung Siem Reap hotel's buffet breakfast kept us full enough for a long day of tour around the city. From Congee, Noodles, Bacon, Sausage, Bread, Fruits, Eggs, no customer would leave the restaurant hungry.
Give me more chorizo, please?
Hooray for a yummy breakfast!
üFriendly Staff
Upon arrival at the hotel, the receptionists immediately gave us a warm welcome. They attended to every request we had during our stay.
Aw Khun!
üLocation
Best part of all? Steung Siem Reap hotel is literally just a stone throw away from the Pub Street, Siem Reap's most famous street. The Pub Street comes alive late afternoon where restaurants, bars, souvenir shops and spas are located. A LOT of tourists hang out here and if you're into partying, drinking and shopping, you surely want to stay close in this area.

Tip
Steung Siem Reap hotel has 2 separate buildings standing across each side of the street. Only one has the pool and restaurant. If you plan to take a swim often, make sure you're in the right building to avoid the hassle of going back and forth the 2 buildings.

*Please note that room rates may change depending on your booking date. We booked our hotel a month prior our travel date which was sometime August 2013.

Gladys
